Brad Pitt Takes Angelina Jolie to Recuperate at Chateau Miraval in Provence, France

The family is spending ten days relaxing at Chateau Miraval – following the stress of the 37-year-old actress’s double mastectomy hitting the news 2 weeks ago.

Angelina Jolie, her six kids, plus several nannies flew in to the south of France last week from Los Angeles via private jet.

The plan is for them all to relax and get some quality time together as a family.

“It’s been a stressful few months and they really need a break in the French countryside – think evenings in the garden under the stars drinking wine and picnics of baguette and brie on the terrace with the kids at lunchtime.

“Brad’s had builders going into overdrive to finish work on the main hall and it’s also there.

“He’s had all the blue shutters repainted a dark shade of brown and most of the exterior is finished, there’s a few niggly bits inside now- light fittings and final touches.

“They’ll be moving to Miraval for the summmer as of late-June so expect a very small, low-key, family-only July wedding.

“But, although that’s 100% the plan, there’s still no date set yet.”

Brad’s going to need to make the most of this family break – following the actor turning up at a New Jersey screening of World War Z on Wednesday night and a New York one last night it looks like he might be planning a nationwide cinema tour this summer in a bid to get bums on seats.
