Megadeth Star Moves into Wine!

Thrash metal band member turns to classical music and wine making.

Rock and metal musicians are going soft as they age, turning to the more genteel world of wine.

Dave Mustaine, the lead singer of thrash metal band Megadeth, has this week released a Californian Cabernet Sauvignon.

He's the latest in a string of musicians to dabble in wine. In 2013, AC/DC launched an eponymous wine label while Maynard James Keenan, Tool's lead singer, owns Caduceus Cellars in Arizona.

Mustaine's wine has been produced and bottled by Fallbrook Vineyards in San Diego County to commemorate Mustaine's performance with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra on April 12, 2014.

The back label of the $40 Cabernet says: "it is time to partake of the highlights and distinctive notes of life's finer things."

It is only available in the U.S. and customers are limited to three bottles.
